Nursery

Our Sunday Nursery offers welcoming, loving and safe childcare for members and visitors while they worship with us on Sunday. ECA- Early Christian Awareness is taught in the nursery.

JAM- Jesus and Me for 2’s and 3’s

GODLY PLAY

Godly Play is a Christian Education approach developed by Jerome W. Slideshow Berryman. This approach invites children to enter our religious language of Sacred Story, Parable, and Liturgical Action in a serious yet playful way so that we may learn its appropriate use for our lives.

Godly Play is offered to children ages 4 years through 2nd grade on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30.

3rd Grade Bible Class

Our 3rd grade ministry, meets Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30. They are currently learning to use the Bible! This is appropriate since the third graders received their new Bibles this year. (A long standing tradition at WUMC….Bibles signed and prayed over by the congregation!)

TWEENS (4th and 5th Grade)  Slideshow

Our ministry to pre-teens, grades 4&5, is called O.S.O.M. (Open Spirits Open Minds-pronounced “awesome”) Tweens and meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30. This group enjoys fellowship and Bible study time, as well as participating in service and mission projects throughout the year.

ACOLYTES

If you are in 3rd or older you are encouraged to participate in Slideshow this important ministry. It’s a great way for kids to help during worship and to learn how “church” works!

Children and youth are encouraged to participate in the Acolyte program. These are the children/youth who carry the light into the Sanctuary at the beginning of the each worship service and help the pastors with Holy Communion. This is an exciting way to learn the order of worship and to be an important member of the worship team. Acolyte Academy is held twice a year. (September 29, 2019 - Noon to 1:30 pm, lunch will be provided).
